  2. 3 capsicum
  3. 3 finely chopped onion
  4. 3 finely chopped tomato
  5. 4 dry red chillies
  6. 2 tbsp whole coriander
  7. 4 tsp oil
  8. 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  9. 1 tbsp garlic paste
  10. 1 tbsp ginger paste
  11. 2 tbsp kasuri methi
  12. 1 tbsp garam masala
  13. 1 teaspoon amchoor(dry mango) powder
  14. 1/2 tbsp chilli powder
  15. to taste Salt

Steps to make to make Kadai Mushroom

  1. First of all clean and cut mushrooms into big pieces. Cut capsicum also into big pieces.
  2. Now heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan and add mushrooms to it and cook it for 5 minutes on medium heat. Now add capsicum to it and cook for another four to five minutes. Now take it out in a plate.
  3. Take dry red chillies and coriander seeds in a mixer and grind it to a coarse powder.
  4. Heat 4 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan and add fenugreek seeds. When it turns pink, add finely chopped onion and saute it until light pink in colour. Now add ginger and garlic paste to it and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. Add crushed coriander and chillies to it and mix everything well.
  5. When onions are nicely cooked and light brown in colour, add finely chopped tomatoes to it and mix everything well. Cook tomatoes until oil start separating from which will take around 7 to 8 minutes. Now add 1.5 cups of water to it and mix it well. Now add kasuri Methi, amchoor powder and garam masala to it and mix it well.
  6. Add mushroom and capsicum to the onion tomato gravy and give it a good mix. Add salt and red chilli powder to it and cover and cook it on medium heat until everything is cooked well and oil start separating from the gravy.
  7. Serve kadai mushroom hot with paratha, roti, naan or rice.
