  2. 2 onions
  3. 4 tomatoes
  4. 6-8 pods garlic
  5. 1 " piece ginger
  6. 2 Tbsp cooking oil
  7. For Khada masala -
  8. 8 black pepper
  9. 4 cloves
  10. 1 cinnamon stick
  11. as needed bay
  12. 6 green cardamoms
  13. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  14. 1/2 bowl milk
  15. 1/2 bowl water
  16. 4 tbsp butter
  17. 2 tbsp fresh cream
  18. as per taste Salt
  19. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  20. 1/2 tsp coriander seed powder
  21. 1/2 tsp cumin seed powder
  22. 1/2 tsp kitchen king masala
  23. 1/4 tsp mango powder
  24. 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Instructions to make to make Shahi Paneer Restaurant Style

  1. Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds, black pepper seeds, cloves, 1 Bay leaf cinnamon stick, green cardamoms, when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions, ginger and garlic and stir. Cook till onion gets translucent. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes on low flame. Add water and stir and cook for 2 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature.
  2. Add this mixture in the mixer and grind to a fine paste. Strain it and keep aside.
  3. Heat 2 tb spoon butter in a pan. Add chopped paneer cubes and saute for 2 minutes or till it turn pinkish. Keep aside.
  4. Heat 2 tb spoon butter. Add grinded paste in it and saute for 1 minute. Now add all dry masale I e. Salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, cumin and coriander powder, kitchen king masala and mango powder and mix well.
  5. Let it simmer on low flame till oil leaves the sides. Now add paneer cubes and 1/2 bowl milk and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add cream and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.
  6. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve with chapatti or rice. I have added 1 piece of chopped beetroot for garnishing.
